Vetcreations was founded in 2014 by two veterinarians – Dr. Lilin Chen and Dr. Helen Chiu.
Drs. Chen & Chiu have over a decade of experience practicing on the frontlines of veterinary medicine. Through experience, open-mindedness, and desire to practice the most wholesome medicine possible, they recognized that their training in modern Western medicine could be augmented by traditional Eastern medicine. Thus Drs. Chen and Chiu devoted additional studies to acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and veterinary food therapy, in order to provide an integrative approach to veterinary medicine.
At Vetcreations, we believe that veterinary care should be a responsible practice that deliver high quality services and products under the conscience of treating the Earth gently as well. Our hope is to promote life styles that bring lifelong wellness to pets. We hope that by applying the simple guidelines of healthy lifestyles, pet owners will be empowered to make the best informed decisions for their beloved furry families.
We are thrilled to launch our first treats with colostrum and turmeric supplements. These treats contain therapeutic doses of colostrum and turmeric designed to benefit your pets while giving them a very tasty and healthy treat. We start with fresh, all natural ingredients and hand-make the treats with love. There are no preservatives and the treats are so yummy that even the pickiest dogs and cats would love them!
Dr. Lily Chen
Dr. Chen received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her doctorate, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. She became interested in practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine after it made a miraculous difference in her personal health. Wanting to add another tool to help her furry patients, she studied Chinese Herbal Medicine and Food Therapy, and became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture. She believes firmly that good nutrition is the foundation of a healthy life. She incorporates holistic medicine into her general small animal practice. Dr. Chen is an avid yoga practitioner, loves to stare at oceans, starry skies, and sunsets.

Dr. Chiu received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine. After receiving her degree, Dr. Chiu completed her postgraduate degree training in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.
Dr. Chiu was born and raised in Taiwan, and therefore Chinese philosophy towards wellness, lifestyle, nutrition, and medicine has profound influence on her. With the strong foundation of Western scientific training, Dr. Chiu practices holistic medicine in an evidence-based approach.
Dr. Chiu was “converted” to a cat person by her Domestic Short Hair cat Vincent 10 years ago, even though she will always remain a passionate Shiba Inu fan.
Dr. Chiu enjoys yoga, swimming, traveling, and outdoors. She believes that the nature and exploring different culture with various lifestyles are the best mental nutrition! She is excited to integrate her passions and beliefs into the creating process of Vetcreations.
